Gabon Reclaims Control of Domestic Airports From ASECNA

Since General Brigade Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema took office on August 30, 2023, the pursuit of full sovereignty in the civil aviation sector in Gabon has become increasingly visible. Alongside the ongoing project of the national airline, the country has initiated a plan to transfer the management of domestic airports to the state, currently overseen by the Agency for the Safety of Air Navigation in Africa and Madagascar (ASECNA).
